Community organizer

Naveen Girn is a cultural researcher and community engagement specialist whose practice centers on fostering intergenerational and intercultural dialogue in Metro Vancouver. As a Program Manager for the Komagata Maru 1914–2014: Generations, Geographies and Echoes project, he led a team of eight institutions across Vancouver to collaboratively commemorate this historic anniversary. Naveen has curated historical exhibitions for the Museum of Vancouver, Surrey Museum, Surrey Art Gallery, New Westminster Museum and Archives, Centre A Asian Art Gallery, and Simon Fraser University.

As principal at Digital Handloom, Naveen leads a community storytelling practice that engages with and shares untold community stories.
